Luna Terms and Conditions

Luna is an app for recording and tracking period cycles, fertile days, intention to become pregnant, and pregnancy. With Luna, users can record period dates, view cycle and pregnancy estimates, log symptoms and mood, track PMS-related information, add a partner, and set reminders. These Terms explain the basis for using Luna, Luna’s responsibilities, user responsibilities, and the limitations users should understand before relying on the app. Please read these Terms carefully before using Luna. Using Luna means that you accept these Terms and the Luna Privacy Policy.
1.Acceptance
By creating an account, accessing the app, or using any part of Luna, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and the Luna Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use Luna. These Terms may be updated from time to time, for example when Luna’s features change or when legal requirements change. The updated version will show a new “Last updated” date. Continuing to use Luna after an update means that you accept the updated Terms.

3.Luna Services
Luna provides tools for recording and tracking information such as period dates, cycle length, symptoms, mood, fertile days, intention-to-pregnancy information, pregnancy week, partner settings, and reminders. Some features use information entered by the user to show estimates, such as the next period date, ovulation timing, pregnancy week, or estimated due date. These estimates are designed to support everyday tracking and are not certain. If the dates or data entered by the user are inaccurate, Luna’s estimates may also be inaccurate. Each person’s body and circumstances are different, and cycles, pregnancy, and symptoms can change for many reasons. Luna is a tracking tool and does not provide medical services. Luna does not replace a doctor, midwife, or qualified healthcare professional, and it is not designed for diagnosis, treatment, prevention, prescriptions, emergency help, or medical decision-making. If users have questions or concerns about health, symptoms, pain, bleeding, pregnancy, fertility, medication, nutrition, or exercise, they should make decisions with guidance from a qualified healthcare professional.
4.User Account and Age
To use Luna, users must create an account or log into their existing account. Account information should be accurate and kept up to date where needed so Luna can provide the service, keep the account secure, and respond to account or deletion requests. Users are responsible for keeping their account, device, and login information secure. Users should not share their account in a way that allows another person to access their private tracking data. Luna is intended for users aged 15 and older. If a user is not old enough in their location to accept these Terms or consent to data processing, they should use Luna only where legally allowed and with appropriate parent or guardian involvement.
5.User Data and Inputs
Luna works based on information entered by the user, such as period dates, symptoms, mood, pregnancy-related information, reminder settings, and other in-app entries. Users decide what information to enter, and some features work properly only when relevant information has been recorded. Users are responsible for the accuracy of the data they enter. If dates, symptoms, or other entries are wrong, incomplete, or out of date, Luna’s outputs and estimates may also be wrong or incomplete. Luna’s Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected and used. By using Luna, the Privacy Policy forms part of the user’s agreement with Luna. 6. partner and User-Granted Access Luna allows users to add another person as a partner. A partner can access only the parts of the user’s information that the user chooses to make available. This may include sensitive or private information, such as period information, symptoms, mood, spotting, fertility, sexual activity, pregnancy, reminders, or other information the user chooses to share. The user is responsible for choosing their partner and deciding what level of access to grant. Before adding a partner or enabling access, users should make sure they trust that person and want them to see the selected information. Users can change or remove partner access at any time.
6.Partner and User-Granted Access
Luna allows users to add another person as a partner. A partner can access only the parts of the user’s information that the user chooses to make available. This may include sensitive or private information, such as period information, symptoms, mood, spotting, fertility, sexual activity, pregnancy, reminders, or other information the user chooses to share. The user is responsible for choosing their partner and deciding what level of access to grant. Before adding a partner or enabling access, users should make sure they trust that person and want them to see the selected information. Users can change or remove partner access at any time.
7.Educational Content and General Tips
Luna shows general tips and content about periods, PMS, pregnancy, nutrition, lifestyle, and wellness. This content is for general information only and does not replace review or advice from a qualified healthcare professional. All tips shown in Luna are based on reputable public sources, including USDA, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, World Health Organization, and NHS. However, this content is not personalized medical or health advice and should not replace a doctor, midwife, or qualified healthcare professional. For personal questions about symptoms, pain, bleeding, pregnancy, fertility, medication, supplements, nutrition, exercise, or any health-related concern, users should contact a qualified healthcare professional. For urgent symptoms or emergencies, users should use the emergency services available where they are.
8.Acceptable Use
Luna is intended for lawful personal use. Users must not do anything that interferes with Luna’s security, availability, or performance, or that harms Luna, other users, or third parties. In particular, users agree not to: ● access systems, accounts, or data without permission; ● use Luna for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive purposes; ● enter data about another person without permission; ● copy, reverse engineer, or misuse Luna’s software, design, text, or content except where allowed by law; ● do anything that causes disruption, unusual load, malware exposure, or technical harm to Luna. If a user’s use of Luna conflicts with these Terms or the security of the service, Luna may limit, suspend, or delete access to that account.
9.Service Availability and Changes
Luna works to keep the service available and usable. However, like any digital service, access to the app or certain features may sometimes be temporarily limited because of updates, maintenance, technical issues, or events outside Luna’s reasonable control. Luna may change, improve, suspend, or remove features, design, content, or in-app flows from time to time. If a change materially affects user rights or data, Luna will try to communicate it through an appropriate method.
10.Account Deletion
Users can delete their account from inside the app by going to Profile and selecting the account deletion option. This deletes the account and associated data. Users may also request deletion by contacting privacy@luna.health . For email deletion requests, users may need to provide the phone number or email address connected to the account so Luna can verify the request. Account deletion may be irreversible, and after deletion it may not be possible to restore the account or tracking history. Some limited data may be retained for a limited period where required for security, legal compliance, dispute handling, or backup controls. More detail is available in the Luna Privacy Policy.
11.Intellectual Property
Luna, including its name, marks, visual design, software, text, structure, user experience, and in-app content, is owned by Luna or its licensors. Using Luna does not transfer ownership of Luna’s software, design, or content to users. Users may use Luna only for personal use and in accordance with these Terms. Copying, republishing, extracting, selling, misusing, or commercially using parts of Luna without written permission is not allowed, except where permitted by law.
12.Disclaimer
Luna is designed for tracking, personal record-keeping, and general educational information. Luna is not a doctor, midwife, or medical service provider, and its in-app content, estimates, reminders, and general tips should not be treated as diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, or personalized medical advice. Estimates and reminders are for tracking support only and work based on information entered by the user. For important decisions about health, pregnancy, medication, treatment, or emergencies, users should seek help from a qualified healthcare professional or appropriate emergency services.
13.Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, Luna is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on estimates, tips, reminders, user-entered data, app errors, or unavailable services. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
14.Governing Law and Consumer Rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in the user’s location provide stronger rights. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights that apply to users.
15.Changes to These Terms
Luna may update these Terms when the app, business, or legal requirements change. The updated version will show a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of Luna after an update means the updated Terms have been accepted.
